El Rocio…… should have been in a ‘spaghetti western’. Truly Bonkers!

Wow!!!! A truly bonkers day!!!!

Having arrived at El Rocio, the purpose had been to sort the van, wash clothes, try and get the kids down from ‘cloud 9’ and then see what El Rocio had to offer….

So with only a ew hours of light remaining, we jumped on the bikes and headed into El Rocio…

The sandy streets were certainly different and presented a challenge to all, especially Libby!!!

Before we entered the main streets, which had more than a passing resemblance of a ‘western spaghetti’ movie! The bars all had places to hold horses, the watering holes were there for horses and men, and the sand just kept coming!!!

With the sunset starting to show, we headed towards the main street and the fantastic Iglesias…. it didn’t disappoint!!! With pinky/red sunsets around us, the girls were in their element!!! Churros one minute, pony horse rides the next!!! IT really was a wonderful 45mins!!! with the lake as a back drop, the sunset making the church even more magical and the flamenco around us…. “just wonderful”!!!!

Sadly the ride back to the van didn’t quite match this as we batted the Spanish drivers, the sand deposits and a large amount of dogs!!!

Lots more planned for tomorrow…. hopefully the girls are rested enough….
