Reason one
We’d never really seen the variety that York has to offer before… so spending a full month in York seemed to good an opportunity to miss!! We’ve now trodden the cobbled streets of the famous Shambles and delved into the depths of the Jorvik Centre. But for those wanting easy access into the city… look no further than the impressive city wide Park’n’Ride system
Reason two
The ‘Capital of the North’ may be stuffed full of historical, classical treasures, but York also has plenty to intrigue kids too… but none more so than the impressive archaeological DIG attraction, captivating Jorvik Centre or historic Henry VII/Richard III Experiences!

It’s a fantastic area to explore too with kids just don’t forget to head into the Visit York tourist office, as there’s plenty of great ideas floating around in there… or grab a city pass and head straight for one of our girl’s favourites ‘The Chocolate Experience’ beside the Shambles
