Sometimes, we write endlessly about the route or the quality of what we visited enroute… but today is one of those posts to let our pictures do the talking…. (although there’s plenty more pictures also on twitter and Facebook including the unforgettable Positano…)

So what’s the route like? Well, firstly you can’t really do it in the daytime as it’s not well received by fellow motorists….. But it’s a truly amazing drive from Pompei, through the tunnels, over the bridges and onto the Sorrentine peninsula…  take the SS145 and follow your nose… Across the cliffs on vertiginous cliff hugging roads with crystal clear water beneath… the calmness, tranquility is something to behold….

If you can, try and squeeze a few more miles along the coastal roads past Sorrento and beyond… sadly each motorhome has its limits and due to the 7.3m length on our Adria Matrix…. we eventually had to turn back…. But if you get a chance, there’s always the option of taking a boat ride further along the coast to take in Positano and the amazing views back towards the coastline!
