Our 'Roadschooling' Road Trip seems to bring a new outdoor classroom / playground each day for us to discover together as a family. Just like the fantastic opportunity to test our 'Design & Technology' skills as we've headed north from Hampshire to the girl's grandparents. For a chance to allow both girls to draw, design and build their very own 'personalised' dolls house (as part of their Christmas presents this year)
Leaving Sandbanks behind us, we've headed north to the relatively unknown quaint Hampshire village of Michelmersh. The small village in Hampshire some three miles north of Romsey is home to the impressive Michelmersh Silver Band. So where better to hear it in action first than during the Christingle service at the 12th century St Mary's Church.
It's hard to put into words just how pretty the millionaires playground at Sandbanks really is.... the coastal views are truly breathtaking over the mouth of Poole Harbour. Plus the company has been even better!!! As this weekend has seen us leap at the chance to spend a few nights out of the van with the girl's godparents. Dog walks along the South West Coastal Path have followed multiple dog walks on Sandbanks beach and even some family fun in the dunes......
If you're in Dorset in 2018 and fancy adding to your family adventures? Perhaps your kids would love the hike, scramble and climb to the bottom of Dancing Ledge just outside Swanage near the Sandbanks peninsula.?... Maybe if you're feeling especially adventurous (and have your own climbing gear) you could even challenge yourself to navigate along the narrow ledges or up through the natural staircases....

Snowmen, sledging and snowball fights have been the order of the day after we woke up to snow this week. Like icing on a scrumptious carrot cake, little flakes of snow have already started to dust the North Yorks Moors this year. So as the wintry weather took hold, we thought we'd dig out the girl's sledges and head for the nearest hill to get an adrenalin rush in this beautiful National Park.
