1. TAKE A TRIP TO CREALY ADVENTURE PARK
For anyone whose visited the South West, you've probably heard of the fantastic family friendly Crealy Resort / Attraction on the outskirts of Exeter. If you hadn't it's well worth a visit (perhaps even out of season, as the ride queues are almost nil!) If your children like the odd thrill seeking ride, plenty of outdoor space, water rides and animal barns... then this place could just be the ticket for a family day out. We can't wait to return in the summer to find out just how brilliant this adventure park could be...
In a year when we've hiked into volcanoes, cruised Norway's fjords, searched for the Loch Ness Monster & even found time to experience the thrill of a bobsleigh at Lillehammer... we're always keen to see if we can add new experiences for our adventurous young daughters.... So where better to try and find some than during our visit to Exeter!!
We thought we'd tour some of England's cities over the next three weeks and find out for ourselves... Discover which of England's cities are jam packed full of family friendly activities, motorhome friendly and which ones we'd want to return to.... possibly even to live in once our 'European Roadschooling Adventure' ends. So what did the beautiful, cathedral city of Exeter in Devon have in store for us?
So we're off on Leg 8 of our European Roadtrip....!! Starting our whistle-stop tour of England & Wales with a trip to Warner Bros Harry Potter Tour in London after our road schooling journey had been featured in the Sunday Newspapers over the weekend.
So with thoughts flying around the van in recent days regarding our 'Top 10 Roadschooling Experiences across Europe' we've had plenty of time to consider what makes a great family experience but could it also offer a brilliant creative writing opportunity.... How would the Harry Potter Tour fare...?
2016 was our families most adventurous year yet! We've had so much fun capturing our travels and hope the adventures continue throughout 2017 and beyond. So having pretty much wrung every conceivable drop of adventure out of 2016, we've hiked into volcanoes, cruised Norway's fjords, searched for the Loch Ness Monster & even found time to get into a bobsleigh… our experiences have now included 26 countries and over 40,000 miles across Europe. So here’s a quick roundup of every place we ventured to in 2016!
Looking back over an amazing family experience across 2016... but what comes out on top? (Part 1 of 2)
With the clinking of glasses ringing in our ears, we sat down as a family at precisely 12.01am to discuss the year past.... What would prove to be the biggest learning experience? Which place gave us the most fun as a family....? Which adventure did the girls love the most!!!
So here it is, the youngsters have wrestled control of the keyboard for today's blog, and they've decided to create a New Year special.....
