So we’re off to discover Eastern Europe, and we all can’t wait!

So we’re off to discover Eastern Europe, and we all can’t wait!

So with the UK Cities Tour now a distant memory… just! We’ve spent the past 2 weeks doing some of the less glamorous ‘nitty gritty’ necessary for any roadtrip to run smoothly…

Thankfully we’ve been well supported as ever by Adria’s Dealership of the Year ‘Geoff Cox Leisure’ back in the UK. These guys have been brilliant from start to finish and it’s always good to see some smiling faces when we return back to see them in Denby near Derby.
Thankfully the Adria has been brilliantly reliable, but after a year in which it’s slept in a volcano overnight, climbed to the top of Glen Coe and near the summit of Mt Etna… braved plenty of ferry crossings and been well and truly used by two young children!! It needed a few issues ironing out…For those interested – it has had an alarm issue, required new tyres (at 29,000 for the last set, we can’t complain!), slight knocking on the axle & needed a re-application of the excellent Diamondbrite protection.

Sadly we’ve hit a snag there and are waiting to hear back from Kwik Fit who have notched all 4 alloys when changing the tyres (we’ve opted for M+S Michellin Agilis tyres)

But we weren’t content to stop there! We’ve also added in some useful additions for this leg of the trip. Including a new Gas BBQ (we have both Cobb and Cadac – so we’ll let you know which is better!) which required a new Gas BBQ point… and a whacking great hole drilling in the side of the van! A new coiled water hose which has already been great and has certainly helped water changes

Finally we’ve added a crucial addition… a new set of mugs!!! Just to remind us where we are sitting in each day!

By the time others read this, we’ll be steaming across Belgium enroute for Ghent, Cologne, Berlin, Prague, Budapest and the into Croatia….

For those who love seeing a few new ideas for there motorhoming adventures, we’ve added 9 ideas below just in case it helps others heading into Europe.
