LifeinourVan City Reviews | Barcelona | Spain

What we liked about it

here’s just a few ideas….

Reason one

The city is packed in high season, so best to try and visit in the shoulder season… for us the unmissable places include Park Güell, The City Beaches, La Rambla, Cuitadella Park and the Magic Fountains Montjüic

Reason two

If you want a top tip, Parc de la Ciutadella has everything one could ask for from a city park – a boating lake, playgrounds, plenty of grass and a great zoo plus a vast fountain .

Still not convinced? Here’s another one:

Reason three

It’s a fantastic area to explore too, just take a peek around via the subway, on foot or by cable car to grab views of the Barcelona you’ll remember forever!!… but if you have kids, take them to the Marina area, but just be warned, you’ll have to prise them away from this family friendly area

Where we stayed

As this was before the days of ‘Lifeinourvan’…. in fact it probably prompted the whole trip but that’s another story!!!

But we stayed at the impressive Novotel hotel just outside the main city centre. It’s only a quick tram ride into the centre to explore one of our favourite European cities

Ever wanted to pack your bags, just jump in a motorhome and go off and explore Europe as a family? Well, that’s exactly what my family has done since September 2015. Visiting 35 European countries, travelling over 54,000 miles and grabbing over 450 family experiences on the way… enjoying Bobsleigh in Norway, Climbing into Mt Etna in Sicily or Kayaking the River Dordogne.
