LifeinourVan City Reviews | Barcelona | Spain
Things we did in Barcelona, Spain
What we liked about it
here’s just a few ideas….
The city is packed in high season, so best to try and visit in the shoulder season… for us the unmissable places include Park Güell, The City Beaches, La Rambla, Cuitadella Park and the Magic Fountains Montjüic
If you want a top tip, Parc de la Ciutadella has everything one could ask for from a city park – a boating lake, playgrounds, plenty of grass and a great zoo plus a vast fountain .
Still not convinced? Here’s another one:
It’s a fantastic area to explore too, just take a peek around via the subway, on foot or by cable car to grab views of the Barcelona you’ll remember forever!!… but if you have kids, take them to the Marina area, but just be warned, you’ll have to prise them away from this family friendly area
Where we stayed
As this was before the days of ‘Lifeinourvan’…. in fact it probably prompted the whole trip but that’s another story!!!
But we stayed at the impressive Novotel hotel just outside the main city centre. It’s only a quick tram ride into the centre to explore one of our favourite European cities
Summary Need to escape for a few days? Want to compare weekend breaks to top cities such as Bordeaux, Rome or Copenhagen? Does your family love to explore new cities too? Do you also think that city breaks aren't just for adults and are a great way to learn, relax and bond as a family. If so, grab a seat, make yourself comfortable & discover some of the favourite 'family friendly' cities we've visited in our 700+ day European Roadtrip
