Heading west to Andalusia and a long awaited visit to Alhambra

After a very, very wet morning at Le Marina….. we finally started the sad job of packing up…. with so many people to say goodbye too…. it was a sad morning knowing this might be the last time we see them…. Janette/Gunther were brilliant today as we sat down to plan our German leg of the travel.. much like Richard yesterday, we are so lucky to have this ‘inside info’ which will really enable us to see and enjoy the sights…. The was further added to by Reina/Erwin who helped further with an ‘aires’ book for the very best places to stay!! Fantastic morning! Finished off by another chance to chat with Richard before heading off… we hope we can find a mutual leg to do together in the future… perhaps with a few golf courses enroute….

So as we waved goodbye to La Marina, we started to plan ahead… what did we want to see in Granada… would the Sierra Nevada be similar to the Pyrenees,,, would Alhambra eclipse Carcassonne…

It would prove a long journey – over 5hrs and 400kms – but we finally ended up at Camping Reina Isabel and a view to die for over the Sierra Nevada and Alhambra…..

Pizza and salad for dinner, two tired girls in bed by 7pm! Tickets booked for an early morning entry into Alhambra….. we can’t wait!!!!! Another one to tick off the ‘must see’ list before we head south towards another at Ronda!
