Heading for Metz | Got us Inspired by National Poetry Day

nspired by both the scenery of the Alsace Region allied to the fact it is National Poetry Day back in the UK. Both girls have enjoyed writing poems, splashing around in the autumnal leaves and taking in the vivid shades of colour that have come into focus since we left the South of France.

That’s the great benefit of homeschooling, we all get to really enjoy, discover & share in the learning experience… just like our others across the past year in Europe (see here for more on our Educational Explorers pages) So here’s just a small flavour of what they produced…
With homeschooling completed for the day, we headed northwards towards Metz, having seen this eclectic city before… we wanted both girl’s grandparents to see the truly impressive Gothic Cathedral with stained glass windows that remind us of Chartres… and the chance to see the mini ‘Centre Pompidou Metz‘…. Before we set off further north, into Luxembourg and Belgium before our eventual overnight destination of Ardennes
