Exploring Georgian History whilst learning about Modern Science

From ‘Horrible Histories’ to ‘Horrible Beasties’ to ‘Horrible Hills’ – its been a busy weekend for us and the kids.

It all started with a bang (literally) as we spent a few days down South learning about energy sources and power. From building hovercrafts to rubber band helicopters, it was great to see the girls learning with both sets of grandparents. Both girls now have a new sewing machine so new curtains for the van are imminent!!

After seeing their cousin’s new house we headed back North to Stamford to enjoy the Georgian Festival. With a wonderfully quick show from Horrible Histories to walk us through Britain’s ‘Happy History’ to the bull running in Broad Street – it certainly should be different in Pamplona later this year!

The weekend finished with a fantastic bike ride with the extended family around Rutland Water, beautiful weather and scenery… it seemed a shame to finish at the end.
