Exploring Corfe Castle & Lulworth Cove

Exploring Corfe Castle & Lulworth Cove

Brilliant day in and around some of the beautiful landscapes of Dorset…. what a special place to live and surely well worth a further visit…

Corfe Castle was a picture of brooding menace as we arrived in the wind and rain, but as in Enid Blyton’s books, the sun soon came out and it became a wonderfully evocative place. Both girls love the Famous Five and to visit the place that Kirrin Island was based on was perfect!! Once the battlements were climbed and the views admired, the number of new storylines were well and truly flowing from both girls as they completed the National Trust quiz and gained a nice wristband to remember their trip by…

So after a spot of lunch in the van, we headed across to Lulworth Cove and a great walk across the cliff tops. With Louisa/Alex & Maggie on board, we had a wonderful day and the view of Lulworth at the end of the day was a special treat… add in some beach fun for Maggie (their dog) and then an evening in the Lulworth car park playing all manner of board games whilst sipping hot chocolate… Brilliant memories and a real highlight of the trip!!!!
