Dipping our toes in the water……our family motorhome road trip across Europe begins!

So the time has finally come…. Years of yearning followed by a single month of planning…… An inverse relationship if ever there was one. So how did it start? Well as ever it comes when you listen to those around you. A quote from a special person resonated…“If ever there was a time it’s now..” Were we moving forwards as a family or simply stuck in the inevitable rut created by a 9-5 existence. Could there be something else? Something we simply couldn’t let our children miss out on.

So after the 451st visit to the motorhome dealership (slight hyperbole) over a 6 year period, it was finally time to do the unthinkable…. We purchased!!! Suddenly the possibilities seemed endless, but where to begin became the hardest question. Could we give up both jobs, take the children out of school and as importantly could the dog (Tizzy) join us!!!

Fate intervened and we were off and running… Albeit without the dog!!! August saw us test the waters with a trip to the beautiful Welsh countryside near the Elan Valley. September has become a month of planning hard, purchasing harder (ouch!) before October loomed and the journey begins!!!!
