So with the afternoon weather picking up, we headed along the beautiful Banffshire coastline towards Gardenstown and Crovie... The Gramie CL site had been a big hit and is exactly how we would layout a campsite should we ever be in that position... brilliantly designed and such a neat, compact site...
Crovie took our breath away, beautiful gorse and heathland, it seemed so Cornish but yet so obviously Scottish, great to be back near the sea and we really enjoyed seeing the fishermen hard at work too...
With the light closing in, we reluctantly headed east and then south hugging the coastline past Fraserburgh and onto Aberdeen... having heard mixed report we weren't sure what to expect. Yet the kind 'Tom Tom' lady took us through the city centre at 5.45pm on a Sunday... You'd reckon that should be ok, but oh no!!! All the shops were open and trading and the amount of people was genuinely surprising... That said, we really liked Aberdeen city centre and would be interested to return at some point...
So then further south (after a top up of the brilliant Gaslow refillable LPG system - a real plus point still!!!) to our campsite at Fordoun.
Burns Night and Edinburgh awaits tomorrow!!!!!!
